Description
Shape Cutter Corn-Flour Dusting Box.
If you are like me (when my wife asked me to make this) you might be saying… "WTF is THAT for?!"
This is a box that you use to put Corn flour on the edge of a shape cutter. For cutting Cookies, or in my wife's case - Polymer Clay shapes.
My designed is based heavily on a design available for sale at https://www.blackbirdandviolet.com/products/cornflower-container
I have included their image in my images and if you are interested in their version, Please visit their page and buy it there.
I based my design of their idea, but couldn't find sizes. So I made mine based on the size of my wife's various cutters. no more than 10 cm in diameter. I suspect the model could be easily resized to suit your needs, but as is it is too big for an A1 Mini. If you reseize, please let me know how it goes.
I also include a small ridge around the box lid to hold it into the box more securely. which it seems to do. (see cross-section images)
I used IRONING on the all top layers to make it more solid against flour ingress into the model.
Also - the removable circle grate is probably a fraction too small. In the 3MF file I included, I increased the diameter or the grate from 101 mm to 101.5 mm to give it a BIT more purchase.
Instructions:
To Use the Box:
- Place circle grid into the holding location
- Pour corn flour into the open portion of the box
- Dip your cutter into the corn flour
- Tap the cutter (lightly) onto the grid side to remove excess flour
- Keep any excess in a very dry location - to avoid clumping of corn flour
- Thoroughly clean out all corn flour when not in regular use.
Let me know how you go.
