Model Introduction

Mini Telescopic Sword 6 - Yuhua Sword: The prototype is the Yuhua Sword, a playful weapon from the childhood Chinese animation series 'Hongmao & Lanmao'. The overall proportion of the sword was redesigned to fit 3D printing, smoothed for children's use, with added water element details.

This is the 6th mini telescopic sword in the series that I designed, modeled in Fusion 360. It's Print in Place, no assembly required, takes about 2 hours to print, and is printable on A1 mini. It's just the right size, suitable for both adults and children to play with. I will continue to develop this series.

Parameter settings: Custom supports (please do NOT modify them 😂), enable brim, other settings are standard.

Notes:

1. It is recommended not to print multiple swords at once; the chance of print failure will increase;

2. Friendly reminder to prevent spaghetti during cold weather: clean the build plate, increase heatbed temperature by 5℃, spray/apply glue;

3. If the first few layers of the model stick together and stretch before finishing printing, you can use a utility knife to lightly cut it;

4. If a section does not telescope smoothly, it might be a slight extrusion issue or layer shifting in the middle; telescoping it a few more times should make it smooth.

Thanks to all friends who love the 'Hong Qi' mini telescopic sword series. It is thanks to your support that I was able to complete this entire set of works so quickly. Originally, given my lazy personality, it might have taken until next year to finish updating, but I felt many friends were looking forward to this set of works, so I hoped to update everything before the New Year as much as I could. Finally, I finished it! It's incredibly satisfying and exhilarating! It's very exciting! Personally, I also gained a lot and was very happy during the design and production process, thank you all~. Because my skills still have many shortcomings, if you have any dissatisfactions, please feel free to provide suggestions for improvement. I will try my best to optimize them. Design Snippets (You can skip this 😘):

• The design constraint I set for the mini telescopic swords is that the printing time should be controlled to around 2 hours, which means the joy of quickly finishing a print with just a little spare time after work. Therefore, its form is not very long or large; it's more like a 'small knife'. But this makes it suitable for both children and adults to play with, and relatively more suitable for casual play, so there won't be too much psychological burden if there are print flaws, failures, or damage from later use.
• All 7 swords were completely redesigned from sketches, not AI-generated, nor traced from images; only the overall shape referenced the original, so it's not a 'one-to-one' replica. To be transformed into small, telescopic swords, it required many adjustments to achieve overall harmony. The original had some sharp parts which, considering children's play and potential printing difficulties, have all been optimized accordingly.
• Making it exactly like the original would be a bit monotonous, so I tried my best to add details based on my personal interpretation. However, at this print size, many drawn details wouldn't show up in print, so I kept going back and forth between adding and removing details.
• Studying the original anime, the appearance of these swords constantly changed, and the color schemes also varied. It truly overwhelmed me.
• Surprisingly, the 'Hong Qi' anime series is available on Bilibili in 4K resolution.
• Surprisingly, there are still official 'Hong Qi' accounts operating on Bilibili and Xiaohongshu, and they have been recently updated.

• During a company dinner, I casually gave a few test prints to a colleague's young daughter, and she kept playing with them the whole time, receiving a child's approval. This kind of happiness cannot be compared to how many points I get on the platform.
