*The term "Broad Lock" (Guǎng Suǒ) refers to a horizontally oriented lock. During the Guangxu reign of the Qing dynasty, numerous such locks originated in Shaoxing, leading to the alternative name "Shaoxing Lock." Commonly known as "horizontally opening locks" or "pillow locks," these locks, dating back to the Tang dynasty, were extensively used for doors, chests, kitchen cabinets, and more, with over one hundred variations. This model is a simplified rendition of one type, incorporating minor design modifications. We hope you appreciate this model!
