Boost Me (for free)
A boost means a lot to me, it allows me to continue developing models like this, and best of all, it's completely free for you.
If you like my design, feel free to give me a boost and follow. Thanks and enjoy.
And yet, another PTFE "Y" connector with a clip.
This is my version of the "Y" connector to connect the PTFE tubes from AMS and the external coil to the bamboo lab A1/A1 mini.
I tried several "Y" connectors to keep the AMS and outer coil mounted on my Bambu Lab A1.
However, none of the existing connectors satisfied my need.
The connector that I liked the most, because it was small and did not have pressure copers for the PTFE tube, easily jumped out of the connections.
One solution would be, perhaps, to glue the tubes to the "Y" piece, but this brought other assembly and maintenance problems.
The existing "Y" with PC4 type pressure spring handlers are designed for the PC4-M6 and PC4-M10.
As I currently have several PC4-M5s, I decided to design my own connector.
The PC4-M5 are slightly smaller than the M6 and M10, but offer a tight and precise connection for 1.75mm filaments by having a 2mm inner passage.
The filament passage path was executed with low angles and with a large radius curvature to facilitate the passage of the filament and avoid edges and friction.
The connection holes with the PC4 are no larger than 2.6mm so as not to cause a barrier and allow the filament to pass smoothly.
I advise printing in layers of 0.16 or less to ensure a smoother interior wall and facilitate the passage of the filament with the least possible friction.
Here are some photos of the connector and assembly.
I hope this drawing will be useful to someone.
Version:
V1.0 - Original version (Bambu Lab Logo upside down) 😅😴😝
V1.2 - Repositioning of Bambu Lab Logo the correct way.
Thanks to @tiagopc for noticing the mistake and point it out.
(sorry to all makers that already printed V1.0.)
