Description

I found that since I have newer version of the QIDI Q1 Pro I was having problems with the original post. For starters the distance between the original stops that were posted was smaller than the build plate itself. I also had self tapping screws instead of the nut and bolt that it appears older revs had. So I designed one with a wider gap that also accepted self tapping screws instead.

I have posted an ORCA file for printing this on the Q1 itself. I would recommend at least 5 top and bottom layers and as many walls as you are willing, I did 5. I also did a high infill since I used ABS and practically only print ABS on this printer.  I wanted to reduce the chances of deformation from the build plate being directly on it.3

You can also see that the magnetic sheet was applied off center on my sub straight so that might have also impacted my originally fitment, It didn't appear to though, just a note. I also didn't have to unwire the hot bed to remove the originally shroud. I used snips to cut it in front and was able to get in out in 2 pieces

Needed Hardware:

  • 2x Flat Head Self Tapping Screws Removed from Old Bed Shroud

Recommended Filament:

Any of these fiber filled or unfilled

  • ABS, PC, or PA

4/10/25 Update

At the request of someone I have posted an STL for an M4 nut instead of self tapping option. It has the same location additions and spacing changes. This option requires you to purchase new hardware but holds the references much more securely.
