Bamboo Steamer Bag

Inspiration: One morning, while enjoying some soup dumplings, I was struck by the steamer basket

I thought, why not make it into a bag? And why not include a little soup dumpling charm? It's a dumpling-shaped bag after all! And using bamboo filament to 3D print a bamboo dumpling bag… seems quite fitting, haha

Model Description

• First, it's a flap-type bag, which can be worn with a strap

  

• 

  It can also be used as a storage box when not worn, offering dual functionality

  

  

• One side features a rotating closure, the other a latch, ensuring the contents remain securely enclosed, preventing spills even during vigorous movement

  

• A charming miniature soup dumpling is included, perfect as a hanging ornament

Printing Recommendations

• PLA is recommended due to the interlocking structure; a filament with minimal shrinkage is preferred
• Layer height is not strictly prescribed; for smoother curves on the lid, 0.12mm is suggested

• Minimal support structures are needed; pre-configured support is incorporated into the design for seamless printing

   

 

Assembly Instructions

The model comprises six parts: four for the bamboo dumpling bag and two for the small dumpling charm

 

 

1. Assemble the base

Note the recess locations

Align with the slots, insert at an angle, and press down to secure the base

For added stability, consider using adhesive to reinforce the connection

 

2. Attach the top

Observe the slot locations

Rotate clockwise until fully secured; ensure vertical alignment

 

 

3. Join the top and bottom

Insert one side at an angle, then firmly press the other side to secure

 

Finally, attach the shoulder strap; string or cord may be substituted

Add the little dumpling charm and you're done!
