Easy Cut-in Box for Carlon 1 and 2 gang Low-Voltage Electrical Boxes

Low-Voltage Cut-In Template with Level for Carlon (orange) Low-Voltage Boxes

I created these boxes to save myself some time when cutting in low-voltage boxes while pulling cable in various locations.

The exterior of the templates are each the same size as a standard single-gang (80mm x 126mm) or double-gang (126mm x 126mm) outlet faceplate, so you can use a small torpedo level on the bottom of a nearby electrical outlet cover plate to get your low-voltage boxes cut in at EXACTLY the right height and use the built-in bubble level to get the box dead straight every time.

Bubble level is a press-in interference fit needing no glue or other adhesives to hold it in place.

I often package these units up as a pair along with a red colored pencil and a pencil sharpener to give out as gifts to the people I work with.
