Golden Snake Dance (lenticular animation), wishing you all good fortune, prosperity, and happiness in the Year of the Snake!

With the Year of the Snake approaching, I designed a small toy, named "Golden Snake Dance" (the golden pen was too thick, so I didn't paint it entirely gold), utilizing a diffraction grating to animate the forbidden pattern. Wishing you all a prosperous and healthy Year of the Snake.

The materials are minimal and print easily, in monochrome or dual-color. It features a small mechanical structure (a hand crank) where rotational motion converts to linear motion (of the grating);

I don't yet have a multi-color system, so I printed it in monochrome. Assembly is exceptionally smooth; refer to the images for guidance.

For monochrome printing, use my 3mf file. For custom parameter designs, use models 1, 2, 3, and 4;

For multicolor printing, use models 1, color, 3, and 4. The snake pattern in the "color" model is not recessed, allowing for custom painting and color schemes.
