Description

Today, we explore a pattern that evokes the flexibility and adaptability of nature: the zigzag. This bow tie is inspired by the shape of an accordion, a structure that folds and unfolds gracefully, much like the way some plants and flowers adjust to capture light more efficiently. The zigzag in this bow tie is not only visually appealing but also provides great structural efficiency, making the piece lightweight yet durable.
This design can also be found in nature, such as in the wings of some insects or in the formations of certain minerals. Like them, our bow tie uses a simple yet effective pattern, maximizing strength without adding weight.
In terms of 3D printing, this bow tie is a challenge, as the angle of the zigzag is at the limit of what can be printed without supports. Want to try it? It’s a challenge for the printer. 😅
