Wooden panels are so yesterday?!
While a somewhat more elaborate project, it's elegant and simply something different.
The goal was to design an alternative to genuine copper tiles.
The model consists of several parts:
- Elements (the tiles themselves)
- Frame (a visual border) - also looks great without it
- Base-plates Elements
- Base-plates Frame (corners, horizontal and vertical)
- Addons (soap dispenser holder (BETA version))
The copper-colored PLA Elements have been hanging in my kitchen for about two years now. They are easy to clean, and I have not noticed any problems with thermal deformation over time.
To achieve this surface, the Elements must be printed upright. The base plates are attached to a backing plate or wooden slats with small screws. The Elements can then simply be snapped on.
If interested, I can provide both an updated grid instead of the base plates and, if desired, the native design files. I will also upload an assembly plan shortly.
Let me know if you have any further questions. This is my first upload.
