Magnetic Levitation Through Repulsion
Print Profile(1)

Description
This experiment demonstrates the principle of magnetic levitation, where two magnets are arranged so that they repel each other, causing one of the discs to hover in the air. By simultaneously aligning the magnetic poles in opposite directions (north pole to north pole or south pole to south pole), a repulsive force is created that is strong enough to suspend one of the discs against gravity. This experiment not only illustrates the fundamental principles of magnetism but also the fascinating applications of magnets in overcoming gravity, as used in magnetic levitation technology or maglev trains.
