This project is a remix of another creator’s work, and I’d like to thank them for providing a license that allows remixing. The original design will be linked in the project description.
This is an adaptation of Michelangelo’s David’s head, specifically redesigned to be mounted on Ikea’s SCADIS pegboard, commonly used for office or workshop organization. I’ve modified the original design to make it versatile:
• It can be used as a pen or pencil holder,
• A maker’s organizer for tools like scalpels, spatulas, brim trimmings, or other small items,
• Or even as a planter for decorative purposes.
For those using it as a planter, I’ve included the original base piece to collect water, as the head is perforated (a feature from the original design). However, my primary intention was to use it as a pen and tool holder.
To achieve an amazing aesthetic result, I recommend printing it with 0.12mm layer height using Bambulab matte PLA, which enhances the final look but requires longer print times. For those who prefer a faster print, I’ve included a 0.2mm layer height profile. This alternative reduces the printing time by roughly a third while maintaining durability, with only a slight compromise in aesthetics.
