Description

Here is a really cool Vault that has a secret way to gain entry. PLEASE read the whole discription before you print.

Overview:

The front of the vault has a two dials that turn and click, and once center wheel that you try to turn, but you can't turn it much because its “locked”. The cool think is that thee three movable pieces are all a distraction for the real way to enter. The bottom of the vault can slide out to reveal the inside of the vault. See pictures and watch teh GIF so see how it works.

Assembly: There is a bit of assembly required.

First, make sure all supports are removed, especially on the inside as shown in the picture.

Make sure these pieces fit in these slots. It should be a pretty tight fit, I didn't need any glue here.

You then put the main turn wheel in the slot as shown in the picture.

Glue in the two pins next to the whole where the main turn wheel goes.

Glue the arm on to the inside of the turn wheel. With the pins in place, this will give the impression that when trying to turn the turn wheel, the lock is preventing it form turning all the way open.

NOTE: for glue I use https://a.co/d/df11Qgm

This glue workds very well, you just have to give it plenty of time to dry.

Next grab this piece put it into the hole. Also, I would recomment to apply some sort of oil or lube to the inside part where friction will be.

Apply glue to the inside of the gear and glue in the pin, then glue it to the twist knob. Make sure you don't glue anything to the vault box.

Leave a little space when you glue the pieces together as seen in the picture.

Repeat the same process for the other twist knob. This is what is should look like.

Here is what the inside of the mechanism looks like.

Apply a little bit of oil of your choice. I am using KPL knife lube because that is what I had on hand, but many different types of oil will work just fine.

Add some oil here too.

NOTE: if you want to add magnets, I used 6X3mm magnets. Add magnets NOW BEFORE you add on the bumpers.!

Link to the magnets I used: https://a.co/d/etZo1Ds

READ this part carfully. We are going to add the bumpers to the bottom. Apply glue to 1 surface of the bumper only!

Now attack to the buttom surface, glueing the side of the bumper that had glue to the buttom of the safe that slides out.

When you are done with the bottom bumpers, you should be able to remove the inner compartment with the bumpers. This is only achiveable if you ONLY glue the bottom bumpers to the inner compartment.

Now you can add the bumpers to the top, and you can glue all 3 surfaces. The top is much less crucial.

Now assemble the hunge, glue in the end cap for the shaft of the hunge, and then put on glue as seen in the picture which you will then attack to the safe.

Fully assembled vault.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my vault I made. I really appreciate it! Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks and have a great day!
