Description

This cap is designed to push onto the end of a plunge saw guide rail with a snug fit so it wont fall off. The end prevents cables and hoses snagging on the end of the rail.

There is a cut out so clamps can still be used with it in place.

There is a central cut-out so the rail can still be hung up when not in use to keep it safe.

It has been made to fit a Makita rail so will also fit any Festool pattern rails as well which do not normally fit Makita due to the anti tip rail it has.

Can be printed in PLA or PETG, I have done both and both work well.

It must be printed with at least a 5mm brim and the track slot facing down (see the attached images). Tree support can be used to help smooth the central cut-out but they are not necessary.

See my other model for a cap for the far end of the rail if you also want one to protect the other end as well https://makerworld.com/en/models/1657892-makita-festool-track-saw-guide-rail-cap-far-end#profileId-1753530
