Hello everyone!
I present my design for an AC paper napkin dispenser key. I created this model because my original keys broke, so I designed a custom-fit model, paying close attention to detail, to remedy this problem.
The key is true to the original size: 52mm x 17mm x 4.5mm overall. The key itself is 16mm long with a small 0.2mm step at the end (4mm) and a diameter of 4.5mm. The wings have a total size of 10mm (including the cylinder diameter), a length of 4.2mm (measured from the original keys, the exact size to facilitate opening) and a thickness of 2.2mm.
I hope this is as helpful to you as it was to me. I'm sharing the various files for quick printing. You can print a single object, three, six, nine, or eighteen keys directly from the files I'm sharing.
I recommend printing with supports to prevent the cantilever wing from becoming slightly curved. I've tried it both with and without supports, and both work, but being a perfectionist, I can't stand seeing a slightly bent wing. Then, I leave it up to you to decide what you prefer.
Below, I am also providing the print times for the various files (referring to my printer: Bambulab P1S)
- Single key 10 minutes
- 3X key 17 minutes
- 6X key 29 minutes
- 9X key 40 minutes
- 18X key 74 minutes
The key in the photo was made using Bambulab PLA matte carbon opaque.
