Description

***************************** V3 - 2024-04-15

Added new print profile for A1 mini - 180x180plates.

For every part in this case you have 2 pieces.

You only need to download the stls, import in your 3d printer profile and print one stl a time (join the 2 parts and glue them - optional but recommended).

Assemble as normal instruction below.

***************************** V2 - 2024-04-10

Added 2 versions of "Base", specifically projected to accomodate slim guns. The base is large 35mm instead of the standard 50mm.

***************************** V1 - 2024-04-08

This is my new modular pistol/gun rack.

It is universal for Glock, S&W, Sig, Ruger, and many others.

I had the inspiration from an article in an online shop, and I starded drawing it during the all night :)

You can start from one module and add as many as you want.

If you want the module for one gun you need:

Start

Base (design that you prefer)

End

If you want the module for two gun you need:

Start

Base (design that you prefer)

Middle

Base (design that you prefer)

End

Just add one Middle and one Base every gun you want to add to your new modular rack.

Hardware: You only need screw M4, 20mm lenght and a bit of filament!

When mounting you need to start to the end, example for 2 module rack: End screwed to the Base, Middle screwed to the Base, other Base screwed to the Middle, Start screwed to the Base.

Very nice design. Can you label the 8 plates? I'd like to print this for 3 guns but can't tell which ones to use.

Thank you! Yes I will label all the plates tonight. If you want for the moment you can check the name of the object selecting it. Print for 3 gun needs: 1start 1end 2middle 3base (Check the description for instructions)

Oh I see the names under objects... Disregard naming the plates. Sorry for the added work.

great design. 5 sections to go! prints very well, nothing major to change. I believe I did drop down to 3 top layers instead of 5.

https://amzn.eu/d/bWTJaqZ In hardware shop are a way much cheaper. M4 x 20mm, but you can use also something in imperial unit, if you need, check the more similar size.

Love the design! However, everything shows too large for my Ender KE printed. (220x220x240)

I felt bad to hear that. I added a new profile named: Model cutted to fit 200x200 plate. You only need to download the stls and print one piece for plate! Glue them (optional) and assemble as in my normal description. :) Please let me know

Great model - Thanks for posting this! I have a backpack style range bag that has a zippered compartment for handguns. The compartment uses dividers made of a fabric-over=firm board sections that have Velcro on three edges to secure the dividers on the top, bottom, and back inside that compartment. I've wanted something with more support stability, and this should do the trick (with some resizing). I basically took a 6 pistol model, reduced the size (proportionately) to 73.85% to get the height and depth I wanted, and then widened the bases (non-proportionately) to give me a combination of 35mm and 50mm widths. Thanks again! If anyone is interested, this is the range bag I'm talking about - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097PR65SN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

How many screws per slot? Looking to make a 3 slot and want to make sure I've got enough.

Hi, you need 5 screw for every start/end/middle and 4 screw for every base. For 3 pistol rack you need 32 screw (but if you want for the inside part you can use less screw and it will be super solid as well

I printed on my A1 mini and got M4x20 screws and they are to big. Anyone have this problem? Or perhaps I got the wrong screws.

M4 screws are fine, you need to push and apply a bit of force to screw them for the first time :)
