Description

Heyho

Spring is coming :)

Since everyone in Germany is now a hobby gardener, I was looking for a nice solution for my small plants!

All parts can be scaled to any size! This means you have the option of making very small or very large containers!

My design ideas for the individual parts:

  • Pot side opening: Water can collect here in the lower area and only flows out when it is approximately at the top of the insert. This creates a small reservoir from which water vapor can keep the soil above moist without having direct contact with it.
  • Pot Open: This container has a large opening at the bottom from which excess water can escape. This can then collect in the coaster.
  • Insert: The insert can be used optionally and ensures that the soil is never in water! This means the soil stays moist but is never wet!
  • Coaster: The coaster can be clicked onto the pot to serve as a water reservoir in the open version or to bring more stability to the system.
  • Cover: You can print the cover out of clear material so that the humidity and temperature of the seeds remain high. Of course, this is unnecessary if you put the seeds in a small mini greenhouse anyway,-)
  • Label: You can simply label the labels and click on them to keep track! Of course you can also simply label the containers directly,-)

Print Settings (Important!)

The material is semi-important. The temperatures shouldn't get too high for successful breeding anyway and the boxes don't get thrown around,-)

If you scale the parts a lot you have to optimize the parts yourself,-)

For all parts I use Arachne as a perimeter generator.

PLA with .2 mm layer height and 2 perimeters can be used as standard for the parts.

Insert: There are many different options here. I like 0 layers for top & bottom, 1-2 perimeters and a gyroid fill pattern. But if you are afraid that the roots could get caught in the insert, you can also set 1 layer as the floor and set the perimeter to 0.

Lid: Here I used PETG (Clear) with the vase mode.

Label: Here I used 1 perimeter and 0% infill.

As always, I'm open to suggestions for improvement! So bring it on :D

I would also be very happy about a small donation if you like my projects!

Have fun and a good summer @ all!
