Description
The Nozzle Wiper
I designed this nozzle wiper for my X1C. The original wiper isn't effective and when I got my A1 I saw how great the A1 wiper was so I decided to adapt an A1 wiper to my X1C. This solution cost me less than $1 and now my nozzle is always clean which reduces defects on my prints.
I tested this print for 1 week ( > 40h) of printing without a problem.
The A1 wiper is available for purchase from the official Bambulab Store at an affordable price.
⚠️ Use a material that can handle the heat, like at least PETG.

INSTALLATION:
- Remove the screw holding the original wiper - Using the larger allen key.
- Install the new wiper using the original screw.
- Cut an A1 silicon wiper in half and install it on top of the new wiper.

Other Issues:NEW EDIT 2024-03-18: I've identified the issue is with the default first layer inspection settings on the X1C. If you have this enabled, you cannot use this nozzle wiper mod. Be warned!
This doesn't work for the X1C, unless someone can tell me I did something wrong with the installation. After the Lidar scan, the toolhead parks directly in the middle of the wiper and primes the nozzle directly into the wiper, causing a huge blob that gets dragged around.

I saw the same behaviour here. I mean, I can't wrap my mind around this. this makes it useless.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. My best guess is that maybe it's mainly P1 users printing this? I have no idea.

I see you're using the A1 mini wiper. I did too at first and experienced the same thing. You'll want to buy the full size A1 wiper as it's actually slightly shorter in height, has fewer but larger teeth per row, and seems more durable.
Also, as a fellow X1C user, I also discovered you may have issues if you have the first layer inspection enabled. The nozzle will move slightly further to the right after the inspection and purge directly into the wiper since it's wider than the factory part. A few others in the comments mention experiencing this behavior, but if you disable first layer inspection it shouldn't be an issue. The designer said he's working a V2 as well to address it though.

Easy to print, easy to install and works very well.
I added a washer to make it more sturdy and I have used extra adhesive on the pad as it started to lift.

amazing upgrade to the roller that comes with the P1S. 1000% user error, the only issue I have had is the fact I ordered A1 mini wipers. these are not durable and last only 2/3 prints.
